We have been off to a busy start already!
Here is a little catch up of May and June....

Well, before summer started- we had to celebrate the retirement of our sweet Karen. We are so sad to see her go after working together for 9 years! She taught kindergarten for 34 years! She has definitely earned some down time- but we will miss her so much.
We threw her a big surprise party on May 15th. It was so fun. We had around 60 people come including her parents. Also, a teacher she used to work with for many years came.
(She is in the picture with us. )

We made her a slide show full of all her years of teaching complete with a champagne toast.
We tried to make it fancy in my backyard- it took some work, but it did look pretty-thanks to all our hubbies.....
We love you, Karen!
Her school reception was kindergarten style complete with juice boxes and kool-aid.
We even had an "apple crap" contest showcasing all of our favorite teacher gifts!
The categories were dustiest, tackiest, most, and most sentimental.

Congrats Karen!

Spence giving Jackson a "faux hawk" with his crazy hair.

Happy Baby!

Spencer's very small- but fun end of blastball party!

Isaac at his team party with Coach Phil

My boys.....

Isaac was invited to play on the all-star team and they won the championship!

Isaac getting his kindergarten certificate and hug from his teacher.
I couldn't resist posting this one.....he really did do great! This was just too funny to not share.

The boys did great at swimming lessons.

The last day they got to go on the slides. Spencer went by himself and even conquered the dark slide! Isaac couldn't believe Spencer could do it- "just being four" and all.

We had a bunch of friends over for a summer kick-off bbq. Greg cooks the brisket and everyone brings a side. So laid back and fun. We had just as many kids as adults I think!

I try and try to catch my little mans huge grin! I finally got it!

Spencer loves taking care of his little brother.
AND Lesley came up to play but I never had my camera ready or charged. We did it all-of course with Lesley we don't sit around :) - We swam, we enjoyed the children's museum, we had a fun girls night out complete with dinner and a movie...thanks Scott and Greg.....
How could I have left that fun out.??!!!!?????

Isaac started golf lessons this past week. He loves it!
And our latest fun- Geocaching! I had to take a class for school- I had no idea what it was, I just wanted the GT credits that were required....little did I know how much fun it was.
You use a GPS to find caches hidden all around. You download the coordinates and then you are off on a high-tech hot/cold game! It was so fun we went and got ourselves set up.
We went on our first adventure last night!

This is what it looks like.

The first one we found! The box is full of little trinkets. The idea is you take one and leave one. You also sign the log book that you found it.

A pretty spot along the trail.....

Isaac leading the way to the second one....

up the hill......

We found it! This one was a little harder since it was further off the trail.

Spencer leading the way back to the car!
This is way more fun than sitting around our house! I think we will going on a lot of outdoor adventures now!

Hello..you forgot about us coming up:( The hunt thing looks fun..wonder if it works in colorado?
What fun times! Can't wait to try the treasure hunt in Colorado! I love little Jackson's smile. I bet you can't resist smiling back when you see it! Can't wait to meet him!
What is wrong with me leaving out our McFarland playing time? I know why- I didn't have my camera handy- but that is no excuse! I added it in!
Hey thanks:) We are ready to play again...soon..in COlorado!
