Happy 1st Birthday Spencer!

Spencer had a great FIRST birthday! He loved his balloons. He crawled all over the house with them while we waited for the party to start.

Honestly, with as much as Spencer can put away, we thought this cake would be gone! He ate some but was not too crazy.

This was probably the only gift he participated in. He was too busy crawling around to help. Don't worry, big brother, Isaac was ready to step in!

It is hard turning one! He crashed right as the last of our party animals were leaving.
We cannot believe he is one! Happy birthday "Spencey". (as Isaac calls him)

I can't believe he's one!! Time flies by. I still remember you getting everything ready for Rachel to have your class like it was last week.

Happy Birthday sweet Spencey!!

Wow!!! Okay, I just spent the last half an hour reading all the things I have missed on your "blog." How do you do it? I am an insane crazy woman with my two, I can't even imagine sending a mass email every month, let alone maintaining something as cool as this!! I am so proud I almost can't speak... The boys are adorable, I think Spencer looks a lot like his mama. Oh, and we are enjoying the whole potty training thing right now as well. My best story so far doesn't involve poopy but it is almost as embarrassing. We went to Chili's one night (just one week into potty boot camp) and everything was going wonderfully- happy baby, pleasant 2 year old, mommy and daddy are on the verge of relaxing. We are all munching happily on the chips and queso, having already ordered our food and all of a sudden Colson's face goes completely white. We both panic thinking he is choking on a chip or something and we're like "Are you okay? What's wrong?" He looks at us and then looks down and in an instant we realize what has happened. So, not only are his pants wet but he literally has created a mini swimming pool in the booster seat complete with a waterfall cascading to the floor. We decide that I should take him out to change him, which I did and I pretended not to notice the drips plopping on the floor as I headed for the entrance (surely no one was paying that close of attention, right?). By the way, he was not hip on leaving the chips and dip so not only is he drippy but he is also crying and squirming which only draws more attention! The entire time we are outside he is crying hysterically that he wants his daddy. Meanwhile, Nick is in the restaurant trying to sop up the ocean of pee in the booster seat with Elena's blanket and the few napkins he had. When I get back to the table Colson announces that he has to poop so now it's Nick's turn to be on potty patrol and of course, Colson refuses to poop in the public bathroom so Nick is off to the car again while Colson goes in his diaper. Finally, twenty minutes later, I pack up the food to go, take it to the car and we head home. Needless to say we have outlawed undies in restaurants until further notice. So, you are in good company, I am beginning to wonder if Colson will ever poop in a toilet. He is going to be 10 years old and still asking for a diaper to go poopy! Sorry this is so long, I hope there is not a limit on comment length! Anyway, just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed all the pictures and stories. I feel like I am all caught up now. :-)

Take Care, hope to see you soon!

Love,
Kim
