We were able to take a trip to Chicago...thanks to AirTran losing our stroller at Christmas...we had two free tickets. We had a great time...despite an unfotunate timing with a heat wave. And yes...I whined the whole way getting from place to place but anyone who knows me knows that is just going to happen when I am outside in 180 degree weather and 150% humidity. BUT once we got where we were going I loved it....:)

We went to the Skydeck of the Sears Tower...the 103rd floor!

...went to the Shedd Aquarium..this was the dolphin show. Notice Lake Michigan in the background. The view was so awesome!

Of course we saw the Cubs play at Wrigley Field...this is Greg's whole reason for putting Chicago on our list places to travel ...
(Greg was excited...I don't think he knew I was taking the picture right then...it was a little crowded...:) )

We went to the John Hancock building...this was probably our highlight. We splurged and had dinner at the Signature Room on the 95th floor. The Navy Pier had fireworks and we were looking down on them from our table. It was so much fun.
(I will put a picture of the fireworks on the next part....)

I also had dinner at the 95th floor restaurant way back in the 70's when I was there on a business trip. What a view! I remember going to the Observation Deck first on the 96th floor expecting to just walk down to the restaurant. Much to my surprise I had to go all the way back down, walk around the block to a special elevator serving the restaurant.
Chicago is a great place to visit.
